About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Next.js & Vercel Expert to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building high-performance web applications using Next.js, and deploying/optimizing them on Vercel. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable frontend solutions with cutting-edge performance, SEO, and developer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable web applications using Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR).
- Manage Vercel deployments, environment configurations, and performance optimizations.
- Integrate APIs and third-party services for dynamic content rendering.
- Optimize applications for speed, performance, and SEO.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Vercel’s workflow features.
- Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Stay up-to-date with modern frontend technologies and best practices.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Next.js, including routing, data fetching methods, middleware, and edge functions.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Vercel.
- Expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, image optimization, caching).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices in server-rendered applications.
- Familiarity with headless CMS (e.g., Sanity, Contentful, Strapi) and API integrations (REST/GraphQL).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and state management tools (Redux, Zustand).
- Familiarity with analytics, A/B testing, and Vercel Analytics.
- Knowledge of internationalization (i18n) in Next.js.
- Contributions to open-source or personal Next.js projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Portfolio or GitHub showcasing past Next.js & Vercel projects.
