About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Next.js & Vercel Expert to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building high-performance web applications using Next.js, and deploying/optimizing them on Vercel. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable frontend solutions with cutting-edge performance, SEO, and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable web applications using Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR).
  • Manage Vercel deployments, environment configurations, and performance optimizations.
  • Integrate APIs and third-party services for dynamic content rendering.
  • Optimize applications for speed, performance, and SEO.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Vercel’s workflow features.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.
  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with modern frontend technologies and best practices.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Next.js, including routing, data fetching methods, middleware, and edge functions.
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on Vercel.
  • Expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, image optimization, caching).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices in server-rendered applications.
  • Familiarity with headless CMS (e.g., Sanity, Contentful, Strapi) and API integrations (REST/GraphQL).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and state management tools (Redux, Zustand).
  • Familiarity with analytics, A/B testing, and Vercel Analytics.
  • Knowledge of internationalization (i18n) in Next.js.
  • Contributions to open-source or personal Next.js projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Portfolio or GitHub showcasing past Next.js & Vercel projects.
